Capacity Building for Vernacular Settlement
In June 2020, TACHI was consulted to participate in a capacity building workshop in a funded project titled: Conservation of Kofyar Hill Settlement. The purpose of the capacity workshop is to prepare and train the participants from Kofyar landscape on the state-of-the-art approach to the conservation of the vernacular architecture in the presence of the threats which have been identified to be detrimental to the conservation of the site. Such threats include termite attack, declining availability of thatching materials, climate related factors and socio-economic transformation.
