Ms. Avenir Geradine

Avenir Geradine MEIKENGANG, is an anthropologist and PhD student at CY Cergy Paris University in the Geography Department. Her work focuses on the valorisation of traditional costumes in West Cameroon. She holds a double Master degree in European Territories: Heritage and Development from the Universities of Eotvos Loránd (Budapest - Hungary) and Catania (Italy), she worked on the following themes: "Management of heritage sites in Cameroon: the case of the Ekom-Nkam waterfalls cultural landscape", and "Promotion and enhancement of cultural heritage in Cameroon: proposal for the creation of a house of culture in Fomopéa", within the framework of a second Master's degree in Management of Cultural Heritage at the Senghor University of Alexandria (Egypt). Young Emerging Professional and Expert in Heritage and Development, she has more than 5 years of experiences in the field of tangible and intangible cultural heritage and assists the African World Heritage Fund (AWHF) and its partners in the elaboration of nomination dossiers for properties on the World Heritage List in the African region. Secretary General of the PatriMundus Association, she designs projects for the promotion, enhancement and transmission of heritage to young people and local communities in the African region.
